In July 2020, the national ex-factory prices for industrial producers fell 2.4% year-on-year and increased 0.4% month-on-month; the purchasing prices for industrial producers fell 3.3% year-on-year and rose 0.9% month-on-month. On average from January to July, the ex-factory prices for industrial producers fell by 2.0% over the same period last year, and the purchasing prices for industrial producers fell by 2.7%.


   1. Year-on-year changes in industrial producer prices


  In the ex-factory prices of industrial producers, the prices of the means of production fell by 3.5% year-on-year, and the rate of decline narrowed by 0.7 percentage points from the previous month, affecting the overall ex-factory prices of industrial producers by about 2.56%. Among them, the price of extractive industries fell by 7.1%, the price of raw materials fell by 6.9%, and the price of processing industries fell by 1.8%. Among the purchasing prices of industrial producers, the price of fuel and power dropped by 10.8%, the price of chemical raw materials dropped by 8.9%, the price of ferrous metal materials dropped by 2.8%, the price of non-ferrous metal materials and wires dropped by 0.3%, and the price of agricultural and sideline products dropped by 6.8%. %.


     2. Changes in industrial producer prices from the previous month


  In the ex-factory prices of industrial producers, the prices of means of production rose by 0.5%, the same rate of increase as last month, affecting the overall increase in the ex-factory prices of industrial producers by about 0.34 percentage points. Among them, the price of mining and quarrying industry increased by 3.1%, the price of raw material industry increased by 0.9%, and the price of processing industry increased by 0.1%. The price of means of subsistence rose by 0.1%, the same rate of increase as last month, affecting the overall level of factory prices for industrial producers to increase by about 0.04 percentage points. Among them, the price of food rose by 0.6%, the price of clothing fell by 0.3%, the price of general daily necessities fell by 0.2%, and the price of durable consumer goods remained flat.


Among the purchasing prices of industrial producers, the prices of non-ferrous metal materials and wires increased by 3.0%, the prices of fuel and power increased by 2.5%, the prices of agricultural and sideline products increased by 1.4%, and the prices of ferrous metal materials increased by 0.9%; construction materials and non-metallic materials The price fell by 0.6%.
