Common configurations include one stretch stage, two stretch stages, and a relaxation and setting zone. Some models also incorporate heated plates or heated rollers for auxiliary heating. For the characteristics of high-strength polypropylene, the roller surfaces of the drawing machine are usually coated with wear-resistant ceramic or undergo precise chrome plating to reduce fiber damage. The internal heating of the hot rollers uses oil heating or electric heating methods, with temperature control accuracy maintained within the range of ±1.5℃ to avoid causing fuzz or breaks due to temperature fluctuations.
When selecting equipment, attention should be paid to the diameter and arrangement form of the stretching rollers. Larger diameter rollers are beneficial for reducing bending stress, and independent motor-driven rollers can be set to have different stretching ratios respectively. Some new high-strength Polypropylene yarn stretching machines are equipped with a tension closed-loop regulation system, which can promptly feedback the changes in the filament tension and automatically adjust the speed difference, reducing the need for manual intervention.
In terms of maintenance, regularly clean the oil and oligomers accumulated on the rollers, and check the bearing temperature and vibration values. The heat transfer oil for the hot rollers needs to be replaced according to the operating time, while the electric heating system focuses on the aging condition of the heating rods. By following standard operations and maintenance procedures, the high-strength Polypropylene yarn stretching machine can maintain stable stretching effect for a long time, helping the polypropylene industrial yarn reach the required strength standards.
